I am an Economic Analyst in the Directorate General for Employment, Social Affairs, and Inclusion (DG EMPL) at the European Commission. Before, I was a PhD student in the Economics Department at KU Leuven, funded by a Fellowship from the Research Foundation Flanders (FWO). I also spent some time visiting the Institute for Applied Microeconomics (IAME) at the University of Bonn.
My research focuses on how workers and firms value different non-monetary job attributes. I am interested in what shapes the preferences of workers, how costly different amenities are to provide for different firms, and how the structure of the labor market determines whose interests are reflected in equilibrium outcomes. To answer these questions, I use structural models of search and matching, causal inference methods, and survey evidence.
